1. Use Magic Resize to Repurpose Content in Seconds
If you’re creating graphics one-by-one for every platform, stop right now. Canva’s Magic Resize tool lets you instantly turn one design into dozens of correctly sized layouts.
How to Use It:
- Open your design.
- Click Resize in the top-left menu.
- Select all the formats you need (Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube thumbnail, etc.).
- Click Copy & resize.
Done.
Canva handles the dimensions while you adjust minor layout tweaks.
💡 Quick Tip: Revisit all past blog post ‘featured images’ and ‘magic resize’ them into social media images instantly.

2. Create a Brand Kit to Keep Everything Consistent
Nothing screams “DIY chaos” like graphics using slightly different shades of purple… on every post.

- Middle (for vertical centering)
You’ll also see pink alignment lines appear as you drag elements – those “snap” lines help you line things up with the center or with other objects.
How to Space Elements Evenly
- Select all the elements you want to tidy (e.g. icons, photos, list items).
- Click Position.
- Use Tidy Up to automatically space them evenly.

If you’ve ever downloaded a PNG and then wrestled with removing backgrounds, Canva will become your new best friend.
How to Remove a Background in Seconds:
- Upload your image.
- Click Edit Image.
- Select Background Remover.
